Westergasfabriek is een van de meest geboekte eventcampussen van Amsterdam, een voormalig complex van de Imperial Continental Gas Association in het Westerpark, herontwikkeld tot culturele en eventlocatie. Het is een rijksmonument en draait het hele jaar door een programma van bruiloften, corporate gala's, concerten en festivals verspreid over meerdere hallen. Hoe de ruimte klinkt

The Gashouder is the headline space, a circular, pillarless former gasholder with a domed iron roof. Volumes that large with hard surfaces produce a long natural reverb, which means amplified live music needs a carefully designed PA. The room rewards bands that play with restraint and a sound engineer who tunes the system to the space. The Transformatorhuis (also branded De Wester) and Machinegebouw are smaller industrial halls that handle full-band PA more readily.

For the Gashouder, full party bands and DJ-led productions are the standard fit, the visual scale matches a band with a brass section or a high-energy production. The Transformatorhuis and Machinegebouw suit five-to-seven-piece bands and party-band setups well. For quieter receptions in smaller spaces on the site, a jazz trio works.
