Acoustic Duo Amsterdam
Intimate live music in Amsterdam

Singer-and-guitarist acoustic duos for Amsterdam ceremonies, cocktail hours and dinners.

An acoustic duo is the part of the day most people remember without being able to say why. It is the music behind your ceremony vows, the warm sound in the foyer while guests find their drinks, the live set under dinner that makes a room feel looked after rather than left to a playlist. In Amsterdam, where so many weddings and corporate dinners happen in canal houses, museum halls and hotels with a decibel cap, a singer and a guitarist often do more for the feel of an event than a full band would, because they sit at the right volume and the right intimacy for the moment.

Lupa Entertainment is a boutique music agency founded in 2018 by Noam Bargil, working bandleader of Benga Band. We book a fixed roster of 14 acts we have personally seen and coached live, more than 300 events since 2018 for clients including Heineken, Microsoft, Salesforce, IBM, Booking.com, ING and Tommy Hilfiger. For intimate sets we lean on acts like Laura Dooge, a Conservatorium van Amsterdam graduate who has played the Concertgebouw and BIMHUIS, and Fourtunes, who rework pop and soul into jazz. One coordinator, named musicians in every contract, no marketplace pool.

How it works

When an acoustic duo is the right choice

A duo is not a smaller band, it is a different instrument for a different moment. Here is where it does the most for an Amsterdam event, and where you might want more.

The honest line is this, a duo carries a ceremony, a cocktail hour and a dinner beautifully, and it is the right call for a venue with a strict decibel cap, but it will not fill a late-night dance floor the way a band does. The most common Amsterdam booking is a duo through the early part of the day and a band or DJ for the party, which we book together. Prices for an acoustic duo in Amsterdam

A soloist, a single singer with guitar or piano, starts at EUR 600, and an acoustic duo starts at EUR 1,000. If you want the same act to grow as the day goes on, a jazz trio starts at EUR 1,400 and a full band at EUR 3,000 with sound and lighting included, with every extra musician adding EUR 500. A DJ to close the night is from EUR 850. Acts like Laura Dooge and Fourtunes are available as a soloist, a duo or a trio, so you can scale one consistent sound across ceremony, dinner and party without booking strangers to each other. Travel inside Amsterdam is included. Send your date, venue and the moments you want covered and we quote within one business day.

An acoustic duo for a wedding in Amsterdam

For a wedding, a duo is usually the ceremony and dinner answer. Laura Dooge brings the Great American Songbook to the aisle and the tables, and couples send their ceremony song in advance for the act to rehearse in the right key. Fourtunes reworks recognisable pop and soul into jazz, the kind of set guests comment on at the table. Because both acts also play as a trio or with a band, you can keep one musical world across the whole day and bring a DJ in to close, all coordinated through one contact. For the dance floor itself, our wedding pages are the better starting point.

An acoustic duo for a corporate dinner or reception

Companies book duos for the parts of an event that are about conversation, a drinks reception, an awards dinner, a product launch where people need to hear each other. A duo sets a tone of quality without competing with the speeches, and the same act can lift into a livelier set once the formal programme ends. Lupa acts have played for Heineken, Microsoft, Booking.com, IBM, Canon and the City of Amsterdam, so the bandleader knows how a corporate room moves and when to step forward or hold back.

Common mistakes when booking an acoustic duo

 • Expecting a duo to fill a late-night dance floor. That is a band's job, book both if you want the full evening.
 • Booking a backing-track act and calling it acoustic. Our duos play genuinely live, no laptop carrying the song.
 • Forgetting the venue's decibel cap until the day. A duo is often the answer to a cap, tell us up front.
 • Leaving the ceremony song to the last week. Send it early so the act can rehearse it in your key.
 • Booking the ceremony duo and the party band from two sources and finding the handover does not line up.
