Live party bands for company parties, year-end events and award nights across the Netherlands.
Corporate party band is what you search when the speeches are done and the room needs to dance, and it is a different booking from background music for a reception. A corporate party band has to fill a floor of colleagues who do not all know each other, read a crowd that spans every age in the company, and keep the energy up between the awards segment and the last song. Lupa Entertainment, founded in 2018 by working bandleader Noam Bargil, books party bands for company parties, year-end celebrations, award nights and team events across the Netherlands.
We have produced more than 300 events for teams at Heineken, Microsoft, Salesforce, Booking.com, IBM, Canon, ING and the City of Amsterdam, in venues from the Westergasfabriek and the Gashouder to the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. Our core corporate party band, Benga Band, plays funk, Latin, soul and pop with its own sound and light included, and we pair it with a DJ to carry the floor until close. One bandleader runs the night, one invoice goes to your finance team.
How it works
What a corporate party band actually does
A corporate party band is hired for one job: to fill a dance floor and hold it. That is the opposite of a dinner act. The crowd is mixed in age and taste, half of them are colleagues being polite, and the band has to win the room in the first three songs or the floor stays empty for the night. A working party band reads that room in real time, opens with broad floor-fillers, and saves the peak for after the speeches. It also handles the awkward corporate moments, the speech that runs long, the director who wants to say a few words, the sponsor reel, without letting the energy drop.
Which act fits a corporate party
| The moment | Best act | From |
|---|---|---|
| Reception before the party | Jazz trio or acoustic duo | EUR 1,000 |
| Main dance floor | 4-piece party band, sound and light included | EUR 3,000 |
| Bigger room over 150 guests | 5 or 6-piece band with horns | EUR 3,500 |
| Launch or reveal moment | Drumpet Disco, live trumpet over DJ | On request |
| Late-night close | DJ with sound and light | EUR 1,500 |
The corporate party band we book most
Our core corporate party band is Benga Band, a full party band playing funk, Latin, soul and pop with its own sound and light production included, which matters in a corporate venue built for speeches rather than a dance floor. For a launch or an awards reveal, Drumpet Disco puts a live trumpet and a drummer over a DJ set for a festival moment. For the reception before the party, Dupa Trio keeps the room warm at conversation level, and Savoy, our roster DJ, carries the late floor by bridging soul and Motown into modern dance for a crowd that spans generations.
Building the whole party, not just the band
Most company parties work better as a sequence than as one act stretched across the night. A typical setup is a jazz trio or a DJ during the reception, the party band for the peak after the speeches, then a DJ to close. For the full multi-act picture see our live music for corporate events page, for a Dutch-language booking see bedrijfsfeest band Nederland, and for an international audience our English-speaking corporate band. The whole roster sits on our artiestenbureau.
Nationwide coverage and travel
We are an Amsterdam agency but our party bands produce corporate events across the country, from the Westergasfabriek, the Gashouder and the A'DAM Toren in Amsterdam to the High Tech Campus and Strijp-S in Eindhoven, De Doelen in Rotterdam and TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. Travel inside roughly 50km of Amsterdam carries no fee. Further afield we itemise a transparent travel line in the quote rather than hiding it in the act fee, so the cost of reaching Eindhoven, Maastricht or Groningen is never buried.
Prices for a corporate party band in the Netherlands
A 4-piece corporate party band starts at EUR 3,000 with its own sound and light included, which covers a room of up to roughly 150 guests. Each extra musician adds EUR 500, so a 5-piece runs from EUR 3,500 and a 6-piece with horns from EUR 4,000. A reception act before the party is EUR 1,000 for an acoustic duo or EUR 1,400 for a jazz trio. A DJ to close is EUR 850, or EUR 1,500 with its own production. A full evening of reception act, party band and late DJ is quoted as one package on a single invoice. Final pricing depends on lineup, set length, date, venue and any travel beyond the Amsterdam radius. Send your date, venue and headcount and we come back within one business day.
A band for a year-end or Christmas company party
The busiest corporate party season is November and December, when most companies hold their year-end party on a Friday or Saturday. The strongest party bands fill those dates four to five months out, so a December booking made in summer gets the act you actually want rather than what is left. For a year-end party the brief is almost always the same: a band that fills the floor with broad, recognisable music a mixed-age company crowd will dance to, not a niche set that empties the room.
Common mistakes booking a corporate party band
- Booking a dinner act for a party. A quiet jazz set will not fill a floor, and a company party needs a band built for dancing.
- Forgetting the production. A corporate venue built for speeches rarely has a PA that carries a dance floor, so book a band that brings its own sound and light.
- Ignoring the speeches. A band with no MC discipline plays over a speech or a sponsor reel. Ours work to your run of show.
- Booking late. December party season fills months ahead, and the best bands go first.
- Treating the night as one act. A reception act, a party band and a late DJ almost always beats one band stretched across five hours.
