Destination Wedding Band from the Netherlands
Live music that travels with you

A Dutch-based wedding band that travels to your wedding anywhere in Europe.

Booking a band for a wedding abroad is a different problem than booking one at home. You cannot see the act live before you commit, you are coordinating across a border and a time zone, and the venue, the power and the rider all have to be solved long-distance. A Dutch-based band that travels solves most of that, because you deal with one agency you can actually meet, in your language, and we handle the logistics of getting a tested act to a villa in Tuscany or a finca in Ibiza.

Lupa Entertainment is a boutique music agency founded in 2018 by Noam Bargil, working bandleader of Benga Band. We book a fixed roster of 14 acts we have seen and coached live, more than 300 events since 2018 for clients including Heineken, Microsoft, Salesforce, Booking.com, IBM, ING and Tommy Hilfiger. For destination weddings we travel most often with Benga Band, our party band with horns, and Drumpet Disco, a DJ with live trumpet and drums that suits an open-air party. One coordinator handles travel, accommodation and the international rider, and the act in your contract is the act that flies out.

How it works

Why a Dutch-based band for a wedding abroad

The usual destination-wedding worry is that you are booking blind, a band you found online, in a country you do not live in, for the most important party of your life. Booking a Dutch-based act that travels removes the blind part. You can meet us, you deal with one agency in your language, and the act in the contract is the act that gets on the plane, not a local pickup band assembled at the venue. We have a set workflow for the things that go wrong abroad, power that does not match, a stage that is smaller than promised, a rider that the venue never received, and we solve them before they reach your day.

Where we travel

We run destination weddings across Europe from our base in Amsterdam. The most common are below, and each has its own destination page with venue notes.

See the full list on our destinations page, which also covers Santorini, the Amalfi Coast, Portugal, Paris, Brussels and Berlin. If your wedding is in the Netherlands rather than abroad, the home-market version is wedding band Netherlands, and for Amsterdam specifically see wedding band Amsterdam. The full roster is on the NL artiestenbureau.

Prices for a destination wedding band

The band itself is the same price as at home. A full 4-piece live band starts at EUR 3,000 with its own sound and lighting, each extra musician adds EUR 500, so a 5-piece runs from EUR 3,500 and a 6-piece from EUR 4,000. A jazz trio for the dinner is from EUR 1,400, and a DJ to close from EUR 850. On top of that, travel, flights and accommodation are quoted per event, itemised separately so you see exactly what the travel costs rather than it being hidden in a single inflated fee. We confirm whether the venue can supply backline and PA or whether we fly it, because that changes the number. Send your country, venue and date and we scope it properly before you commit.

A destination wedding party

The dance floor at a destination wedding is usually outdoors and usually international, and both change what works. Benga Band is built for an open-air party, horns that carry across a courtyard and a frontline that reads a crowd from several countries who do not all share one set of party anthems. For a later, DJ-led night on a terrace or by a pool, Drumpet Disco layers live trumpet and drums over a DJ set, which gives an open-air party a live focal point a laptop alone cannot. We plan the set around the light, the dinner and the local noise curfew, which abroad is often stricter and earlier than couples expect.

Common mistakes booking a destination wedding band

 • Booking a band you have never seen because it was cheaper than flying a tested act out.
 • Assuming the villa has a stage, power and a PA. Many do not, and that has to be solved months ahead.
 • Ignoring the local noise curfew, which abroad can end an outdoor party earlier than at home.
 • Leaving travel and accommodation as a vague line. We itemise it so there is no surprise.
 • Booking late. Summer Saturdays at the popular regions fill a year or more out, and so do the strongest acts.
